My choice to become a chiropractor was not my own. God had me on a very different path than what I had intended. I went to undergrad to become a landscape architect and got my bachelors degree in plants sciences with a landscape design and construction concentration. When I was planning on going to post-grad for my architecture degree I felt very torn about it. For some strange reason I felt the Lord pushing me toward the healthcare field. After a lot of prayer and a few ordained coincidences I went down to Atlanta to visit Life University chiropractic school. At once I knew God wanted me there, and on pure faith I followed his guidance and applied. It was very foreign soil for me but the greatest decision of my life.
Being a chiropractor allows me to help people in ways other doctors cannot. I love being able to help people live their lives to their full potential and express optimal health. Seeing people heal on our tables has nothing to do with me; it only confirms my beliefs that there is a Healer who has designed the body to self heal once it is free of stress and interference.

I knew I wanted to be in a heath related field, but I wasn’t exactly sure which one. My guidance counselor suggested I have a visit with his chiropractor, Dr. Heskett. After shadowing him and seeing how excited he was about what he did everyday I did some research and decided it was the field for me!
My favorite part of my job is getting to witness when a person gets back to living their life and doing the things they haven’t been able to do and know I had a small part in helping them get there!
Dr. Katie Kanipe-Noe was born and raised in Morristown and attended Morristown West, where she graduated in 1999. She then attended the University of TN and received her B.A in Anthropology. Following her graduation she went to Spartanburg, South Carolina to become a Chiropractor and graduated with honors at Sherman College in 2006. Dr. Katie then opened a practice and adjusted patients for 7 years. She made the tough decision to stay at home to spend more time with her daughter Audrey. We are very excited to have Dr. Katie adjusting again and part of the Heskett Team!
